Welcome to the NASAD web site.

NASAD, founded in 1944, is an organization of schools, colleges, and universities. It has approximately 297 accredited institutional members. It establishes national standards for undergraduate and graduate degrees and other credentials.

Institutional Membership is gained only through the peer review process of accreditation. Individual Membership is available by application.

NASAD provides information to potential students and parents, consultations, statistical information, professional development; and policy analysis.

NASAD has an extensive publications program.

This web site is intended to provide general assistance regarding the operation of NASAD including the accreditation process. Requests for further information may be directed to the National Office staff. NASAD accepts no responsibility for the content of any information or web site attached to this site.

Hotel reservations for the Annual Meeting should be made as soon as possible. The NASAD block of rooms at the Westin Cincinnati will be released into the hotel’s inventory on September 20. (Read more.)

PRE-MEETING WORKSHOP

NASAD is holding its day-and-a-half Pre-Meeting Workshop for New and Aspiring Art and Design Administrators in Higher Education on Wednesday, October 13, 2:00 p.m. – 5:15 p.m., and Thursday, October 14, 8:30 a.m. – 1:45 p.m.

The 2011 Annual Meeting will be held October 13-15 at the Grand Hyatt Seattle Hotel in Seattle, Washington.
