Gina Moore is currently Chairperson for the Communication and Arts Department at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina, which includes programs in Studio Art, Music, Mass Communication, Foreign Languages, and English. This is her 35th year of service to the College where she also instructs courses in Illustration, Digital Design, and Visual Communication.
Professor Moore works as a designer and mixed media artist and has exhibited regionally and nationally. She also serves as an AP Art and Design Reader.
Professor Moore serves NASAD as a visiting evaluator.
Professor Moore received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from the University of South Carolina, a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Fibers from the University of South Carolina, and a Master of Arts degree in Illustration from Syracuse University. She has completed additional studies in Graphic Design at Parsons School of Design, and in Publication Design at the Rhode Island School of Design.
