Beverly J. Seley

Beverly J. Seley is a professor of art and design, and area head of the Jewelry/Metalsmithing emphasis at Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan. She served as chair of the Department of Art and Design for nine years.

In addition to her work for the National Association of Schools of Art and Design as a member of its Board of Directors, she served two terms on its Commission on Accreditation, serves as an accreditation evaluator, and has co-chaired the Workshop for Visiting Evaluators on numerous occasions during NASAD Annual Meetings. Professor Seley has been active in university government at Grand Valley earning the award of Outstanding University Service in 2008 and was voted the Outstanding Educator in 1996 by the alumni. Her jewelry/metalwork has been shown throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan. She earned a Master of Fine Arts in Ceramics, a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Ceramics, and a Bachelor of Science in Human Ecology from Michigan State University. She completed a year of postgraduate work at Cranbrook Academy of Art.
