Kurt T. Steinberg is the 8th President of Montserrat College of Art. He began his appointment on July 1, 2018 after 12 years as Executive Vice President and one year as Acting President at the Massachusetts College of Art and Design. He previously served as Vice Chancellor/CFO at the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education.
An authority in collegiate operations, President Steinberg has delivered guest lectures on higher education finance, urban planning, and the Massachusetts political process at Suffolk University, the University of Massachusetts Boston, and many professional higher education conferences.
President Steinberg serves NASAD as a visiting evaluator.
President Steinberg holds a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University, a Master of Public Administration degree from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Syracuse University.
