Greg Watts

Greg Watts is Dean of the College of Visual Arts and Design at the University of North Texas. Prior to this appointment, he was Chair of the Art Department at Metropolitan State University of Denver. While in that role, he also served as Executive Director of the Center for Visual Art (MSU Denver’s off-campus art center) and as President of the University’s Council of Chairs.

An administrator, artist, and educator, Dean Watts’ career accomplishments include a variety of academic positions and creative ventures in photography and digital arts. He provides consulting services, and has been called on as a legal expert in the fields of photography and photographic evaluation. His artwork has been featured internationally in numerous exhibitions.

Dean Watts received an Executive Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Denver, a Master of Fine Arts in Fine Art (Photography) from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor of Art (Printmaking) with Honors, from Kingston University, London. Further professional development includes the Management Development Program and the Institute for Management and Leadership in Education both at Harvard University.

Dean Watts was elected to the Commission on Accreditation in 2015. He currently serves NASAD as a consultant, visiting team leader, Chair of the Commission on Accreditation, and as a member of the Executive Committee.
