GINA MOORE is Professor of Studio Art at Benedict College in Columbia, South Carolina, with over 35 years of teaching experience. She has also served in academic administrative and leadership roles for more than 10 years, including her current position as Coordinator of the Studio Art Program.

Professor Moore’s professional expertise includes curriculum development, academic advising, and implementing various instructional methods, including lecture, e-learning, and individualized instruction. Additionally, she has been instrumental in developing recruitment and retention strategies, managing program assessments, and enhancing the visual arts curriculum at Benedict College.

In her role as a professor, Professor Moore has taught a wide array of courses such as Digital Design, Illustration Techniques and Media, Business of Art, and Visual Communication. She is also an active artist, having participated in numerous regional juried exhibitions and contributed to permanent art collections, including those at The White House and The Institute for Defense Analyses.

Professor Moore has served NASAD since 2021 as a member of the Committee on Ethics.

Professor Moore received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Fibers from the University of South Carolina, and a Master of Arts degree in Illustration from Syracuse University. She has completed additional studies in Graphic Design at Parsons School of Design, and in Publication Design at the Rhode Island School of Design.
