Suzanne Snyder

SUZANNE SNYDER is the Dean of Pratt Munson College of Art and Design, Pratt Institute’s upstate New York extension campus, where students complete the first two years of their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree before relocating to Brooklyn to finish their degree. The College is uniquely partnered with the Munson Museum of Art, giving students access to its renowned collections and exhibitions as part of their educational experience. Previously, Dean Snyder was the Program Director of Graphic Design and Visual Communication at Champlain College, where she taught from 2008 to 2024. 

With an extensive background in graphic design, Dean Snyder has worked at firms in both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, served as a Design Strategist at Zurich Financial Services, and consulted for non-profit and government organizations including the World Health Organization, Maryland State Department of Education, and Crittenton National Services. Her work has been featured in Graphic Design USA, Graphis, PRINT, and ID Magazine, earning recognition from CIO Magazine and the Insurance Marketing Communications Association. She formerly chaired education for AIGA Vermont and has presented academic papers at numerous conferences, including the AIGA and the National Conference on Liberal Arts and the Education of Artists. 

Dean Snyder serves NASAD as a visiting evaluator. 

Dean Snyder holds a Master of Fine Arts in Graphic Design from Towson University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of the Arts.
