HEATHER SHAW is Vice Provost and Professor of Design at Lesley University College of Art and Design. Her professional practice and research spans print, motion, and interactive media. She is a founding member of the MODE (Motion Design Education) Society, an organization dedicated to motion design research and shaping the field. She is a peer review chair and proceedings editor for the MODE Summit, an international conference that provides a platform for research and pedagogy in motion design education. In her design practice, clients include MIT, Brandeis University, Perkins School for the Blind, the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum and Riverside Theatre Works. She also serves on the Advisory Board for AIGA Boston, The Professional Association for Design.
Vice Provost Shaw serves NASAD as a visiting evaluator.
Vice Provost Shaw earned her Master of Fine Arts degree from the Massachusetts College of Art and Design as a student in the Dynamic Media Institute, and her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Visual Design from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
