DAVID H. JACKSON currently serves as Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of Faculty at Ringling College of Art and Design. Other roles served at Ringling since 2008 have included Interim Vice President of Academic Affairs, Interim Head of Illustration, and Interim Program Director for CORE Foundations. Previous academic appointments include Professor and Chairperson of the Department of Art at Ball State University, Professor and Head of the Department of Visual Art at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and Head of Computer Art at Otago Polytechnic in Dunedin, New Zealand.
Associate Vice President Jackson has served in leadership roles as a member of academic teams within colleges that have schools and programs in multiple disciplines in the visual and performing arts. He has written and co-authored successful grants in support of equipment and programming for the arts.
Associate Vice President Jackson serves NASAD as a visiting evaluator. He served as member of the Commission on Accreditation from 2016-2022.
Associate Vice President Jackson received a Bachelor of Fine Arts with K-12 certification from Murray State University and a Master of Fine Arts in Studio Arts with a concentration in photography from the University of Kentucky.
