REPORT OF THE NASAD COMMISSION ON ACCREDITATION
October 2009

After positive action by the Commission on Accreditation, the following institutions were granted Associate Membership:

California University of Pennsylvania
Central State University
College of DuPage
University of South Carolina Upstate

Progress reports were accepted from four (4) institutions recently granted Associate Membership.

After positive action by the Commission on Accreditation, the following institutions were granted Membership:

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania
Coastal Carolina University
Columbus State University
Drexel University
Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising
North Dakota State University
Union University /STRONG>

Action was deferred on six (6) institutions applying for Membership.

Progress reports were accepted from five (5) institutions and acknowledged from one (1) institution recently granted Membership.

After positive action by the Commission on Accreditation, the following institutions were continued in good standing:

Belhaven College
California College of the Arts
Carnegie Mellon University
Casper College
Cornish College of the Arts
Kennesaw State University
Maryland Institute College of Art
Mount Ida College
Saint Cloud State University
Salve Regina University
Studio Art Centers International (Florence)

Action was deferred on eleven (11) institutions applying for renewal of Membership.

Progress reports were accepted from twenty (20) institutions and acknowledged from two (2) institutions recently continued in good standing.

Seventy-five (75) programs were granted Plan Approval.

Action was deferred on thirty-one (31) programs submitted for Plan Approval.

Progress reports were accepted from four (4) institutions concerning programs recently granted Plan Approval.

Forty (40) programs were granted Final Approval for Listing.

Action was deferred on twelve (12) programs submitted for Final Approval for Listing.

Six (6) institutions were granted second-year postponements for re-evaluation.

One (1) institution was granted a third-year postponement for re-evaluation.

Eight (8) institutions were notified regarding failure to submit 2008-2009 supplemental annual reports.

Supplemental Annual Reports from forty-three (43) institutions were reviewed and accepted.
